Spanish Clep Practice
If you are looking to practice the spanish clep test, then the best resource for you is the official spanish clep study guide.
There are a number of sites online that will give you a few questions here and there, however, I can speak from personal experience, when I was trying to prepare to take and pass the spanish clep test, these other sites are well intentioned but lack the full overview of what you need to study in order to be prepared to take and pass the test.
If you have any experience with spanish, even if its just a few years in high school, then the spanish clep test is one of the first tests you should start with.
This test contains 120 questions that need to be answered within a 90 minute timeframe. Most clep tests are score on a 20 to 80 model and if you score between a 50 and 62, then you will earn 6 credit hours. But if you score above a 63, then you will earn a full 12 credit hours!
Think of the time and money it will save you to earn 12 credit hours in less than 2 hour and for less then $100. Most cleps test cost $77 are is the best money spend in your college degree plan.
When I took then test, and you will be the same if you have any background in spanish, while they give you 90 minutes to take the test, it should take you no more than 60 minutes total.
60% of the test is based on reading comprehension. You will be asked to read a short story or narrative and then answer fill in the blank type of questions.
Another 25% of the test will be based on listening comprehension based on a dialogue. This is going to be extremely easy because they speak slow and deliberate and in ways that you can easily understand. The other part of the test is based on listen to rejoiner and answering questions on the content and context of the story or narrative you just listened to.
You will need to know:
listening comprehension of spoken narratives
listening comprehension through oral exchanges
filling in missing words
reading short stories and answering questions
Vocabulary and sentence structure
The key when studying and preparing to take the test is to make sure you use the practice tests that are given in the official clep study guide. This yellow book will contain a great overview of the questions and subjects you will be tested on, and then provide 3 practice tests for you to use to prepare yourself to take the real test.
When I was studying, I would read through the study guide once, then take the first practice test, this will give me a pretty good idea of how well I retained the information that I read. I would go through and take each question that I missed and find the right answer in the book (even though they give you the right answer, I found that I was able to better remember what I missed when I manually searched and found the right answer).
Once I did this, I would take practice test 1 all over again. I would repeat the same procedure for practice test 2 and 3 until I was able to easy pass each of them and feel confident I would pass the real test.
By applying this study method, I was able to easily pass the spanish clep test, earn all 12 credit hours as well as clep out of many other subjects. In total, I was able to test out of a years worth of college and save a unheard of amount of money from my college tuition.
You can easily do the same. If you have any experience at all in spanish, definitely start with this test!
