CLEP Testing

Many wonder what the CLEP test is all about. CLEP stands for College-Level Examination Program and is an option for you to test out of an entire semester worth of class and save on tuition. You are able to earn full credit for the class as long as you can pass the CLEP test.

CLEP testing can easily be accomplished with good planning and academic work, your child can save on full tuition by testing out of certain subjects. This can be done at more than 3000 colleges through out the country. The chances are, the college of your choice will accept CLEP credits. If you are unsure, ask your counselor, they can specify whether they accept these exams and help you determine which CLEP tests you should focus on based on the area you need additional credit hours.

You can earn anywhere from 3 up to 12 credit hours per CLEP test. By studying and being prepared for the clip test you can save yourself a tremendous amount of money and time.

Often parents are the ones that are most interested in clip testing. With good planning and academic diligence your child can dramatically reduce the time it takes to graduate by taking clip tests as well as the amount of money you have to pay tuition.

For parents, one of the most important things they need to know, is there child can easily test out of many subjects in receive full credit simply by using the official CLEP study guide as well as the practice testS that are provided in each guide. Each guide has 3 practice tests as long and as the child is diligent in reading the guide as well as taking up just tests most of the time they will be able to pass the test.

I was able to CLEP out of nearly a year of college by taking in preparing for CLEP testing. We publish a list of easy and difficult CLEP tests that they should consider starting. By working with their guidance counselor they will be able to clearly see which subjects they need credit hours for and start by taking the tests that is easiest or that they have previous experience with.

For example, I lived improved for 2 years serving a mission, when I returned home; I was able to test out of the Spanish CLEP test which gave me 12 credit hours. This saved a tremendous amount of time in costs especially since I was paying for college myself.
