Clep Math

In order to clep math you will need to pass a test of 60 questions that have a time limit of 90 minutes with a score of 50 or better.

Taking a clep test will save an enormous amount of time and money compared to paying full tuition price for each credit hour. The math club test is $77 to take as well as the sitting fee that is charged by the testing center. This is a tremendous savings.

There are 34 clep tests, some are fairly difficult and some are known to be pretty easy. The math test is known to be one of the easier tests. This means that as long as you did fairly well in high school math you should be able to pass the math clep test.

You will not be tested on advanced mathematical equations or problems, the information that you will be tested on will be the information that you will have learned during high school. If it is been a while since you have last been in high school then obtaining a copy of the official clep study guide for the math class will quickly bring a refresher of what you learned in previous years.

This study guide comes with 3 practice tests, each of these tests will help prepare you for the real test and when taken the practice tests you have a good understanding of how prepared you are based on how you score on those tests.

Some of the things you’ll need to be familiar with in order to pass this test is graphs and their functions, probability and statistics, logic and sets, will number systems, geometry topics, and algebra basics.

50% of the test will be centered around basic and routine mathematical equations, the other 50% of the test will be based on multi step and non-routine mathematical problems, don’t let that frighten you, all that is is a fancy way her same story problems and those type of questions.

Something that you need to keep in mind is that if you were planning on pursuing a degree in math or business you will need to work with your school counselor to ensure that the credit hours of the clep math test can be a applied to your required math classes. Some colleges do not accept all the credits as they require higher-level college classes and credit hours to be fulfilled.

Don’t let that deter you though, you can still take this test and obtain all 6 credit hours that it’s worth and apply those who your elected classes and still save a tremendous amount of time and money.
