CLEP Exam

Are you wondering if the CLEP exam can save you time and avoid costly tuition fees? Then you have come to the right place! CLEP Exams are the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to get introductory college course credit.

I personally CLEP’ed out of an entire years worth of College while I was obtaining my Bachelors of Accounting at University of Phoenix. I have now gone on to my Masters and will be graduating with my MBA from Texas A & M next semester! If you have any questions, I have included my email on the contact page; feel free to email me anytime.

Here is a good overview of the CLEP Exam and how you can CLEP out of your own classes.

The College Board has developed a line of 34 different subjects; each subject has one test in which the student may earn college credit without actually taking classes or paying tuition fees. Each subject has a small fee and a testing fee, however, I was never asked to pay more than $70 TOTAL for the entire course credit and the testing fee.

Almost 3000 institutions of higher education accept passing CLEP exams in lieu of attending class. Typically, each CLEP exam substitutes for at least three semester hours and can save a lot of money and time for those that can either learn to study effectively (which this site will you do) or leverage their skills and knowledge to test out of certain subjects (for example, I lived in Peru for 2 years serving a mission and was able to test out of Spanish and earn 12 credit hours).

The great part of the CLEP system is the scoring system. Immediately after completing the exam, you will be provided an unofficial score that will detail the test results as well as give you a summary of your performance. The only exception to this is if the test has essays, and not all CLEP test do. You typically will know right away whether you passed or failed, if you have passed, you can electronically send the test results to your school for them to add to your official transcript. And the best part is, its either pass or fail, in other words, if you pass, you get full credit as if you spend the entire semester in class doing the homework, assignments, mid-term and final. This means that you don’t have to worry about passing the CLEP with a certain grade point average in order to maintain your GPA. If you pass, it simply counts as if you passed the class but no percentage grade is calculated into your GPA.
